Crash Cushion for Poles and Trees
The RAPTOR System is designed to reduce the severity of errant vehicle impacts with a utility pole or tree. The RAPTOR System uses weather resistant energy absorbing material surrounded by a UV stabilized polyethylene shell to shield poles and trees located on the roadside. It can be installed at many sites that do not have the space needed for a traditional impact attenuator and does not require a foundation. The RAPTOR 300 & 600 Systems meet NCHRP 350 TL-1 criteria as non-redirective impact attenuators.

How long does it take to install the RAPTOR System? An experienced two person crew can install the RAPTOR System in less than 30 minutes.
Is delineation available for the RAPTOR System? The RAPTOR System is not supplied with delineation but can be easily added to comply with local traffic control standards.
What type of hazard will the RAPTOR System protect? The RAPTOR System will protect most posts or trees. Two RAPTOR Systems are available, the smaller 300 System will protect poles or trees with a diameter of 12” (300 mm) and the larger 600 system will protect poles or trees with a diameter of 24” (600 mm).
